  • Bookstore Manager

The Madrid (Spain) Campus of Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, dedicated to student learning, research, service and healthcare, is seeking applicants for a full-time position of Bookstore Manager, beginning September 1, 2017, to provide bookstore and customer service to visitors, faculty, staff, and students.

Under direct supervision of the Assistant Director for Operations in the Division of Finance & Operations, main responsibilities include general bookstore functions including, but not limited to, the purchase and sale of books, supplies, corporate apparel and gifts; maintenance of billing system and inventory; materials planning, photocopying and general customer service.

Minimum qualifications should include: University degree, bilingual Spanish-English, Microsoft Office, Google Services, and at least 3 years administrative or university experience. Knowledge of previous bookstore management, accounting or use of billing system will be taken into consideration. Specific expertise with SAGE Murano a plus but not necessary.

  • Madrid Campus Study Abroad Coordinator (St. Louis, Missouri-based)

Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, invites applications for a St. Louis, Missouri-based Study Abroad Coordinator.

Under general direction, is responsible to identify, recruit, admit, and enroll academically qualified visiting (study abroad students from the Saint Louis University - St. Louis Campus as well as other universities around the United States for the Madrid Campus; keeps frequent contact with students, parents, study abroad advisors and government agencies if applicable; demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of all students; performs duties in accordance with the philosophy of the University.

Main responsibilities include: (1) recruiting visiting (study abroad) applicants in the United States for the Madrid Campus; (2) processing student applications and visa documentation; (3) establishing and maintaining active communication to students, families and other involved parties concerning admission; and (4) serves as a liaison between Saint Louis University's Madrid and St. Louis Campuses.

Qualifications and skills required include: knowledge of admission and international study abroad terminology and best practices; bachelor's degree supplemented with at least one year of related experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills; computer literacy with experience with a variety of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and, the ability to travel is necessary. Applicant must be able to legally work in the U.S.
